I started a farmshare. My first time ever. After locating the secret stash of farmshare boxes located in someone's car port off Duval, I happily took my box of vegetables and eggs home to my new house in Austin that I share with my boyfriend. I tore into that box of mysteries to sort and catalog what our week's share held.
I mistook the mustard greens for lettuce and the little orange peppers for bell peppers. The orange peppers are very very hot, not to be used as bell peppers. I then cut off all of the greens of the khorabi because I didn't know what it was and therefore didn't realize the entire thing was edible. Ooops. I saw two types of eggplant--I've never cooked eggplant and immediately began to wonder, "What am I going to do with all of this?" Well, I'm going to cook it. I decided to blog about all of my farmbox cooking adventures.
